Small Creatures and Critters!

I put up a new bird feeder today,
and wondered who my first guests would be...

I was expecting this guy...
You can tell he's been flourishing on my sunflower seeds,
can't you?!!
And this guy has been hanging around quite a bit.

I certainly didn't think it would be this one...
What do you think it is?
At first I thought it was an owl,
but after I looked closer I thought it might be
a red shouldered hawk...

But I wouldn't have guessed my first guest would be a mockingbird!
I couldn't help  but wonder if he was one of the juveniles that had hung out
on my back deck this past summer and that I had featured on a previous blogpost.
(If you'd like to see it, click on the highlighted letters to take you to that post.)

Well, I haven't painted a ROCK lately,
so I guess I ought to work on that.
Maybe I'll get one done today!
It sounds like more fun than going through years of accumulated "treasures",
trying to decide what to keep, what to throw away,
and what to donate!
You can check it out at Rock4Today, okay?

Thanks for your visit!

Country Church

Although it has been having "Saturday Night Church" for a long while,
The Little Pine Bluff Country Church
on Woolum Road
has not had Sunday School for many years.

This Sunday the church bell rang!

You may remember the earlier post I did about the Pig Roast?
(Click HERE if you wish to see that post)
Well, this is the same little church...

Thanks to the vision of Ross Hunter
and members of the community,
Sunday School has been re-implemented!

The little congregation joins in songs of worship
as they are led by a group of  "Singers"
.

Children wishing to sing also take their places up front...

Eagerly the children take their turn in
raising their sweet little voices in praise to Jesus.

And then...
it's time for Sunday School class!

Here they are... ready to learn!

Is Sunday School important?
Well, this is what Jesus said:

"He put a child in the middle of the room. Then, cradling the little one in His arms, He said, “Whoever embraces one of these children as I do embraces me, and far more than me—God who sent me.”
