When we went to the farm this weekend,
I was disappointed to find my hummingbird feeder broken.
My creative sister-in-law left me a large bottle to try in its place. A bungy cord worked nicely to secure it. |
Since I didn't have any nectar prepared, I decided to improvise... Yes, that blue color is partly "GatorAde"! The male ruby throat came first and checked it out. |
Then the female came and analyzed the new set up. |
The male was the first to try the new contraption with the unusual fluid. |
"Here goes!" the female seemed to be saying. |
"Awwwwhhh, good stuff! No wonder those humans drink it!" |
I just love to watch these beautiful little creatures.

Beautiful pictures and such a clever idea! Blessings to you! Love, Rachael @ Inking the Heart
I think hummingbirds showcase the amazing Creator -- the same one who made me! You are creative yourself--the hummingbirds are happy!
I cant really explain how jealous I am of people who can watch humming birds in their garden - it seems unreal!

Oh, man - great photos! So cool to capture a hummingbird like that.
Neat idea and great shots!
Good idea. I think it's so nice to see those little birds On your pictures. I've never seen them in real life. Are they really so small?
