Okay,
I'll try not to bore you with any more of our summer vacation photos after today!
This was the view of the Grand Tetons from our lodging place at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. |
My daughter and her husband went for a short walk before we ate dinner together at the lodge's restaurant. |
I enjoyed checking out the wild flowers that grew in abundance. |
This is the sunset view from our window. |
I got up before anyone else to catch this sunrise photo. |
The next day we were hoping to see some moose... |
The signs said we should... |
But instead we encountered more buffalo. |
They raised their tails and ran off, as we discussed whether they were called bison or buffalo! |
But this is the only MOOSE we saw, and obviously you can tell, it wasn't a living moose. |
The lofty mountains remind me of the majesty of the LORD, and make me think of these verses from Micah 1:3-4: "Look! The LORD is coming! He leaves His throne in heaven and tramples the heights of the earth. The mountains melt beneath His feet and flow into the valleys like wax in a fire, like water pouring down a hill." |
Well,
thanks for coming along with me again!
I hope you enjoyed the trip!

Such beauty, I could never tire of looking at your photos. My daughter and family are in Maine for a few days, oldest granddaughter hoped to see a moose, too. I got a wonderful sky/cloud photo tonight. The sun was going down behind me, there was a dark cloud in front of a brilliant white cloud. How the sun's rays got over there were beyond explanation. I imagined Him coming in the clouds...
Gorgeous. We love it there.
=)
Absolutely gorgeous photography ~ must have been a very special trip ~ thanks, carol, xo
It looks like a great vacation!
These photos are beautiful, magnificent place for holidays, lovely!
What glorious mountain views! I know you're glad you got up for sunrise.
Your sunrise photo is awesome -- well, the beauty of a sunrise is always awesome! We lived in Colorado for a few years and I don't think I ever saw a moose! (But I have a coffee mug that says I did!)
Stunning photos, not a bore at all!
So beautiful. I have never been there. Only to Montana. Which is very beautiful too. I need to go back there and make the Tetons a stop on my way!~Ames
Beautiful scenery ! :)
What a great place to spend time. What a wonderful adventure!
I would never be bored looking at vacation photos! post away!
The early morning sunrise is gorgeous!
What a glorious spot in the world!
I went to Yellowstone years ago and someone told me not to stop along with all the tourists to see the moose at the entrance. Oh no. because we'd be seeing lots more. As it turned out, that moose at the entrance was the ONLY one we saw!
perfect Bible quote!
My daughter worked a summer job in Yellowstone years ago and I must say that it is one of the most magnificent places I have ever seen...
All of the wildlife and wildflowers are spectacular!
I wish you got to see a moose but maybe next time...
Marvelous post for the letter "M"...
