The Sounds of God

What does it sound like to hear the voice of God???

When God talked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden,
what did His voice sound like?

Do I recognize the voice of God when He tries to speak to me?

King David tells what he thought the voice of the LORD sounded like in Psalm 29.
Verse 3 - God's voice thunders over the waters
Verse 4 - God's voice is powerful and majestic
Verse 5 - God's voice breaks the cedars
Verse 7 - God's voice strikes with flashes of lightning
Verse 8 - God's voice shakes the desert
Verse 9 - God's voice twists the oaks and strips the forests bare

Yet, Elijah heard many of these sounds,
and God was not in them!
He heard God in the sound of a still, small voice!

PRAISE: Thank you, LORD, that you want to connect with me.  I want to recognize Your voice  however and whenever you choose to speak.

PROMISE: "The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness.  He will quiet you in His love.  He will rejoice over you with singing."

PRAYER:  LORD, open my ears to hear your songs over me today!

Wonderful thoughts. The thought just came to me,Are missing out on hearing God's still small voice because we are surrounded by 'noise'.
