Covered Wagon - In Style and Comfort!

Yesterday as my husband and I were on our way down to the farm,
we met an unusual sight.
When we got up close, Gary recognized one of the drivers
as a former classmate from his "alma mater".

Although the horses were sweaty and tired,
his classmate offered us a short ride in his custom built covered wagon.

"Can you wait while I get my sister?" I asked.
Marye was staying in our farmhouse,
and was visiting from Canada.
(She loves to escape the harsh Canadian winters...
although she was a bit disappointed by our winter this year!)

Her husband, Ken, was enthusiastic about taking the ride with us.
(Ken is a professional hunting guide in Canada -
bears, moose, elk, ducks, geese, etc....)
Yes, that is a roll of tissue paper in front of Ken.
This covered wagon even has a "portable potty"!

I sat in the back on the comfortable softness of a queen size mattress,
while Marye and Ken sat in folding chairs in front of me.
My husband Gary and his school-mate
sat in the front, catching up on alumni happenings.

No, I really didn't drive the wagon...
David was just kind enough to let me pretend!
I was amazed at the comfortable electrically operated seats,
...and even an air conditioner that could be used
for camping out on those hot summer nights!

The Book of Revelation says that one day Jesus will come,
...not in a covered wagon....
but riding on a white horse!
So I guess horses are never going to go out of style!

We are so thankful to God for your prayers,
for the amazing work of Dr. Black,
and the healing power of God!

And maybe, just maybe, I will get a new post up soon on
featuring the Names of God on Rocks!

Wow! Even covered wagons have been updated over the years. I would love to ride in one.
