New Cabinets and New Snowfall!

This is what my kitchen looks like this morning!
We are in the process of getting our kitchen cabinets refurbished,
...or is the right word resurfaced?
Company is on the way,
...should be here tonight,
...could be interesting.
Good chance to eat out!!!

An early morning light snow brought a flurry of activity at my bird feeders.

Some birds had to settle for seeds that had scattered at the base of the tree.

The bright red cardinal against the fresh white snow
reminds me of a verse from Isaiah 1:18 that says,

"Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool."

It is snowing here in Illinois today-- our first appreciable snow. Great capture of the cardinal. The cardinals visit our yard but I'm not quick enough with my camera.

The verse you have posted is a wonderful truth to hold onto.

Have a good time with your guests!

Hi Esther Joy,

First of all, thanks so much for leaving a comment on my blog. That certainly makes blogging extra special! :)

I really like the action shot of the bird in flight -- just great!

Are you interested in winning a white cotton T-shirt with a pink heart and the words I ♥ Oktoberfest in size L? Then come over to my blog until Sunday, 22nd January, and leave a comment here .

What about having a look at my Advent and Christmas and getting an impression of Munich's Christmas market ? Moreover, you can see some frosty weather photos and pictures from a walk around my neighborhood on January 1st. Finally, there are photos of New Year's Eve . Of course, comments are welcome -- it's always great to hear what you think!

Have a wonderful 2012,
your blog friend from Munich, Germany,
Birgit

Thanks, Carol! We had a good time with our guests, but are still eating out more than usual because our cabinets are still a work in progress!
