Flowering Leeks!

Last spring I planted some leeks in my little garden.

The winter weather didn't seem to hurt them,

...and this spring they came back with gusto.

Just look how tall they are!
My granddaughter is about 5'6" tall,
and they are above her head!

Do you use leeks in any of your cooking?
I think I need some recipes!

Followed you from your comment on my Inca Dove post...so glad to have found your blog! I think we are kindred spirits in more ways than just birds and Arkansas. :) I'm looking forward to reading more!

I think Leek and Potato soup is the order of the day - although its a winter dish as far as I am concerned!

Nice measuring stick!

I've never used leeks although I'm sure I've eaten them in dishes. I had no idea what they looked like.
