Unusual Hummingbird Feeder and Nectar

When we went to the farm this weekend,
I was disappointed to find my hummingbird feeder broken.

My creative sister-in-law left me a large bottle
to try in its place.
A bungy cord worked nicely to secure it.

Since I didn't have any nectar prepared,
I decided to improvise...
Yes, that blue color is partly "GatorAde"!
The male ruby throat came first and checked it out.

Then the female came and analyzed the new set up.

The male was the first to try the new contraption with the unusual fluid.

"Here goes!" the female seemed to be saying.

"Awwwwhhh, good stuff!  No wonder those humans drink it!"

I just love to watch these beautiful little creatures.

I think hummingbirds showcase the amazing Creator -- the same one who made me! You are creative yourself--the hummingbirds are happy!

I cant really explain how jealous I am of people who can watch humming birds in their garden - it seems unreal!

PS: very nice set of pictures.

Good idea. I think it's so nice to see those little birds On your pictures. I've never seen them in real life. Are they really so small?
